Chicago International Soccer Club U-18 Girls

Chicago International Soccer Club, (Chicago Inter SC) U-18 Girls team had a very successful 2009 season. The team played in the Illinois Women’s Soccer League, (IWSL) U-19 “Champions” division, the most competitive division sponsored by the IWSL. The team finished in second place with a record of 6-2-1.

The game also excelled in a number of College Showcase Tournaments, winning the Veterans Invitational College Showcase Tournament in Evansville, Indiana and finishing second in the Oktoberfest Classic Libertyville, Illinois.
The team is coach and trained by Sena Halilovic, assisted by Rick Lakie and Dean Silver. The team consist 15 girls representing five different high schools from Chicago’s southwest suburbs.

In early September, the team traveled to Iowa to play two friendly scrimmages against two college teams, winning one of the two games. Chicago Inter SC works very hard placing its players on college teams. Many of the team members have received scholarship offers to play soccer in college.
